What Adobe Illustrator Patterns Will Look Like

If you are producing home sewing patterns, or want your graded pattern as an Adobe Illustrator file, the example below shows what you will receive.

A few notes about the output:

  • You will have to zoom out as opened file defaults to your last artboard size.

  • Line qualities will be narrow, but you can easily adjust.

  • I export all files with the sew lines and cut lines both. However, if you only want the cut line that is an option too.

  • Each size is it’s own separate layer.

If you are using Garmenta Apparel to help you create sewing patterns, you will receive a file like the one below.

I get it, pretty patterns are the ideal. However, details such as branded labeling, line quality changes and page tiling are tasks you will have to work with a graphic designer on, or do yourself since I do the technical stuff only.
